Peanut Butter for 1 year old - Best brands?

Hi

Just wanted ideas on which peanut butter brand to go for which contains no salt or sugar (or minimal amounts).

I've been giving my 1 year old sun pat peanut butter which claims to have no added sugar and so I suspect this is ok in terms of sugar and salt levels? he absolutely loves it and I just wanted to check that it's ok to give it him.

Thanks

The Meridian one I buy has no palm oil or salt is is 100% roasted peanuts.

Just go for a brand that has 100% peanuts on the ingredients list. Morrison's do one and I think Tesco do too.

You can make your own easily or whole earth uses sustainable palm oil and good. I’m going to look up Meridian though.

I have always used Whole Earth. Seems to sell out quite quickly round here so if you see if then buy it.

Tesco do their own 100% peanut and it is reasonable price.

I buy meridian too. Sun pat for me though Grin

Avoid palm oil, surprisingly quite a few of the expensive brands have palm oil in them. I love pb, even more I love almond butter and cashew butter too, but they are special treats!

Chocolala · 27/07/2018 11:39

Meridian. You can get smooth or crunchy, and it’s 100% peanuts.

clarabellski · 27/07/2018 15:01

I buy meridian for the tot for reasons others have given and whole earth for me (i find meridian to runny)

you've made me want PB now!!!!!

bourbonbiccy · 27/07/2018 20:46

I get the Tesco 100% peanuts. Cheaper than brands, and nothing added
