Do you find the highs and lows different from being 'any' mum, Anne? I was a first time Mum, the same age roughly as Cherie Blair just as all the 'shock horror, she's so old' sensation was raging - funny, cos I conceived naturally, within my bodies natural childbearing span, and can'r se what everyone gets so worked up about. it's very out of date, anyway - no-one in our NCT group was under 38!

Yup, all on the other thread, I see David Blunkett's fancy woman is pregnant at 43 too! I don't think it's any different personally.

I am old but immature, I fear.

Before I started ttc my mother warned me that I was too old, too immature AND too messy to be a mother! I think she meant well
