Hayfever!

My 3-month-old DS has hayfever 🙁 I had thought this might be a problem for a few days - he's been quite fretful for a few days without any obvious reason other than the heat, but even when we've been in a cool room he hasn't been great.

This morning I am pretty much certain hayfever is the root of the problem. Just as my nose started to itch, he started rubbing his eyes, did a sneeze and is now fretful again.

Does anyone have any tips on how to deal with it? I would go to the GP, but as I can't take antihistamines while breastfeeding I can't imagine there's much they can do for him.

You could put a little Vaseline around his nose, or there's something similar called haymax that you can put round the nose and eye bones that's supposed to help catch the pollen particles and is a little more soothing. My gp did prescribe antihistamines while I was breastfeeding although I had to practically beg and they just said use sparingly.
