9 year old daughter. How much pocket money should she get and what determines the rate?!

Will she earn the money doing jobs round the house etc?

No, I don't want to tie pocket money to chores - chores are chores that need to be done because we all live in the house and every one should help with them. And I don't want her growing up thinking that she should only do something if there's some sort of gain in it for her
