The love you have for your child

Does anyone else ever just get those moments where you look at your child and you literally cannot believe how bloody amazing they are and how much you love them? I just went in to see my ds asleep now and I just was overcome with love for him and stood watching him sleep while I cried like a baby with happiness. He's 5 now but I have these moments at least once a week where I just happen to look at him (can even be a photo sometimes) and it sets me off. Am I a crazy or do others get this too???!

Oh I know exactly what you mean. I look at my DS ( nearly 1) and just think " you are so bloody gorgeous..how did we get you " and I literally feel like a physical pull on my heart with how much it bursts for him. I am so lucky. I am putting it down to hormones, but I'm a year in now and it's not subsiding. It has softened me up massively as i get quite emotional now if I see a child being chastised in what a believe an unjustified manor. I nearly went over to a man and told him he was a horrible human being as his little lad ( about 3 ) was being lovely and well behaved and the dad was dragging on him by his coat and squeezing his hand really tightly, but the mother arrived and sent the dad home so I left it...but it made me cry to my husband when I got home ...this motherhood malarkey does strange things to me and my hormones lol
