11 months. She’s Nearly 17 months now and took her first steps a few weeks ago. She still isn’t consistently walking.

Charliejr16 · 20/07/2018 23:16

My son first started crawling at 20 Months

Faster · 20/07/2018 23:19

DS is 13m and not crawling. He does a mean bum shiffle shuffle though.

Crawled 10.5 months
Walked 14.5 months

Weirdly, all mine were the same. Almost to the day (age wise).

DontMakeMeShushYou · 20/07/2018 23:22

Crawling: 11.5 months and 12 months.
Walking: 16 months and 18 months.

I have lazy children!

badg3r · 20/07/2018 23:25

Both around 8 months and walking 10 months to a year. But there is a VERY large range of what is normal.

BetterEatCheese · 20/07/2018 23:31

Never! Bum shuffler here.

MonicaGellerHyphenBing · 21/07/2018 00:34

Commando crawling at 6 months and proper crawling at 7 months.

laurzj82 · 21/07/2018 00:38

7 months

GenericUsername101 · 21/07/2018 02:28

Both mine were 5 months

Greenyogagirl · 21/07/2018 02:31

3-4 months

flumpybear · 21/07/2018 02:37

Both mine were 5 months however that was early and they did other things like talking much later

notangelinajolie · 21/07/2018 02:48

All 3 DDs crawled at 6-7 months and walked at 9-10 months.

Seniorschoolmum · 21/07/2018 02:48

Same as Hellohah, ds walked at 7 months, climbed stairs at 10 months, then learnt to crawl afterwards.
But he didn’t say anything until 26 months. He’s made up for it since. Smile

Rinceoir · 21/07/2018 03:34

My DD commando crawled at 6 months, proper crawling (up stairs etc!) at 7, cruising at 8. We all thought she’d walk early, but seemed she was so fast on her hands and knees that she waited until 14 months!

putputput · 21/07/2018 03:44

3-4months?!?! Really? Hmm

DD was 8.5 months.

RoboJesus · 21/07/2018 03:49

Never. Just stood up and walked at the end of 4 months, really freeked me out

Greenyogagirl · 21/07/2018 03:54

Putputput yes really, I look at that age now and think they’re so tiny but he was my first (and only) so I thought it was normal, he was walking and talking and doing hundred piece jigsaw puzzles by 12months, really gifted until he regressed at 2 years to pretty much newborn state and received a diagnosis of severe autism. Just because a child does something earlier or later than the norm doesn’t mean anything at all

DunesOfSand · 21/07/2018 04:49

DS1 6 months.
DS2 5 months, and commando crawling at 4. Am I going to get a sceptical face too?

Humm1ngb1rd · 21/07/2018 05:14

My dd1 was just five months. She could get upstairs on her own by 7 months. It was really hard work! She's in KS2 now and still very determined!

Jghijjjoo · 21/07/2018 05:35

Neither of mine ever crawled. One went straight from sitting to walking and one bottom shuffled.

wintertravel1980 · 21/07/2018 08:45

According to WHO research (which covered several gross motor milestones, including hands and knees crawling):

  • 4.3% of babies never crawl and move straight to walking. Out of the remaining babies:
  • 1% crawl before 5.2 months;
  • 3% crawl before 5.8 months;
  • 10% crawl before 6.6 months;
  • 50% crawl before 8.3 months;
  • 90% crawl before 10.5 months;
  • 97% crawl before 12 months;
  • 99% crawl before 13.5 months.

DD crawled properly at 13.5 months. Before that she was mobile and could roll/commando crawl everywhere but she struggled with getting on her knees.

Kidssendingmenuts · 21/07/2018 08:58

13 months for my son and didn't walk till 18 months. Daughter didn't crawl she was a bum shuffler and walked at 18 months too x

Lana1234 · 21/07/2018 09:45
