Messed up school choice & now feel awful

Background is my daughters feeder junior school is large, brash and underperforming (she is due to start in sept). My daughter is shy and unconfident. i panicked recently and put down a request to move schools, my first choice was rejected but my second choice was offered to me. However it has since come to light that the second choice is not doing well (bad ofsted), and now i think previous junior school is on a par but will at least have her few friends there. Something that i realise will give her support starting a new school.

The crux of the problem is that i have been told that because i put a request in for another school, her current place has been given up. Im devasted as i had assumed that until you accepted a new place you could stick with your current. I dont know what to do and cant think staright because i am so scared i have taken her from a bad situation to a worse. Just feeling awful.

Thank you for replying AjasLipstick. Crisis averted i got her back into my original choice of schools. I may be able to sleep this evening!
