9mo obsessed with my hair

Has anyone else had this? My little boy LOVES my hair. He likes to grab it whenever he gets a chance, loves twiddling it around, rubbing it in his face, sucking it and more recently whenever he feeds he likes to hold a handful of my hair too. It's becoming a bit of an obsession, he won't fall asleep at night unless he has a handful of my hair next to his face, which makes it very difficult to get him to sleep!

Just wandering how common this is and when this phase is likely to pass?

My youngest was just like this, as he got older he called it "hair pully". He stopped by the age of about three so you may have a while to go...

My 12 mo is also obsessed with hair! I guess it's just so soft and tactile. But I can't wear my hair down at all, she just gets so excited and won't leave it alone.
I have managed to get her to calm down a bit, I think, by letting her stroke it and repeating the phrase "gentle hands" as she does so that when she's pulling too hard I can remind her to be gentle.

Also her own her is growing quite a bit now, so at least she has that to entertain her! She loves to "brush" her own hair now which is cute.

I think it lasts a while, and I've noticed other kids at baby group are the same...
