1 year old sleeping disaster

I posted about a week ago about this, but we're still struggling here. Rewind one month & we had a perfectly reasonable routine, 2 naps a day, 7pm bed time 6-7am wake up. We thought we'd cracked it, we could cope with this. Then almost over night, DD would not sleep at bed time, in fact she was wide awake... nothing had changed, so we didn't understand it. 9-10pm she was running round the living room. So we decided maybe, she didn't need the afternoon nap - so we cut that out, it's been 3 days with only 1 nap from about 11am-1.30pm but she STILL WONT SLEEP. It's 20.30 here, she's throwing balls around the living room & terrorising the cat. I ❤️ My daughter unconditionally. But I really appreciate a few hours in the evening to wind down. & I know this is not good for her to be getting so little sleep either as she still wakes at 6-7am. We're out all day running round parks etc etc. What am I doing wrong? Any advice appreciated & will be tried!

I think from what I have read there is a sleep regression at 12 months! So I would carry on with same routine as before, and the one you want to get back to and hopefully it should pass in a week or two! She may still need two naps at this age :)

Thanks for your reply @mummy but this has been going on for at least a month now isn't that a bit long for a regression? I'm so undecided with the naps, online does say 2 naps still but reading on here & talking to friends a lot of babies around her she seem to be dropping the afternoon nap. I wish she could tell me what she wants! 🤦🏼‍♀️
