17 week old with cough!

My 17 week old DS has had a cough for at least a month. It does sound like it’s only in his throat as if he’s got a bit of dribble down his throat rather than an actual cough and I’ve had the GPs check him twice and say he’s perfectly fine but has anyone had similar? He is really dribble and teething and it only really happens when he’s excited or upset

Hi there

My 11 week old does this too. He’ll cough if he gets worked up crying and when he inhales his dribble! He’ll also snore if he’s laid wonkily in the car seat. He has been checked by the GP who found no issue also.
I rationalised it by thinking that I also cough sometimes e.g. when I’ve got a dry throat, eaten something spicy or just on fresh air sometimes!! By thinking of this it stopped me panicking that everytime he coughed he must be poorly because I cough and am not poorly.

Hope that helps

Thank you, sorry I’ve only just seen this. This is my second plus his dad is a paramedic but all logic goes out the window when it’s your tiny baby lol I think I worry more because I have asthma
