I hate half term

Really struggling with this month's essay and trying to write it in half-hour chunks and a couple of hours after they've all gone to bed at night. I finished the first draft at 12.40 last night and it is rubbish. How does anyone else cope with studying in school holidays?

i struggle like mad.
Bloody OU, why oh why oh why do they set their courses to start in Feb and thus continue over the bloody 6week school summer holiday until October?? it makes no sense as most OU students have children!!

i dont know if youre studying with the OU or a proper uni but either way it is generally impossible to write essays when the kids are off school!

I'm with the OU doing history - absolutely dreading August. What are you doing?

Me too - I am supposed to be revising for killer exam in 2 weeks. No chance.

Every time I get on a roll with my writing I hear........... Muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Sigh...............

It does not help that my oldest child is 14.5yrs and therefore doesn't go to bed that much earlier than me! Sigh............

Well I finished the essay - DH read it and thought it was good but what does he know Will proof-read and file in the morning and then try not to think about it until the verdict comes back - next one due on June 6.

Just got a teenage babysitter in (I love that boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) so that I could go and sit in the local greasy spoon and prepare my essay. Got a lot done and now my brain is functioning again!

OH Yes - just got my mark back - 80% again! I sweated blood over that essay, thank christ someone noticed!
