My friend texted last night telling about this amazing deal at Build a Bear. So DH and I thought why not and headed down this morning at 9am (stores opening times)

However this turned into an all day queuing extravaganza and now I'm absolutely exhausted.

Did you brave queues? And if so, what are your BAB stats?

Here are my mine! 😭

Total queuing time: 5hrs 16mins
For: 6 month DD
Why: Because I'm a fucking idiot.
Bear purchased: Pastal Swirl Kitty

I think they make money on the accessories. Yeasterday people were paying £5 for a sound and £2.50 for a smell as well as clothing. The shop assistant told DM they had made alot of money so it would likely they would do it again.
They need some kind of time slot system for next year.
I got my Bear but how does the voucher system work ? Did they take peoples emails addresses in the que?
I'm really anoyed for those people who qued for 5 hrs and were only given a £12 voucher my bears would have cost £41 quid. It isn't fair

There was one other thing that shocked me yesterday. The amount of people (with children) smoking in the queue!

I’m not sure BaB can be held responsible for the promotion going wrong to be honest. I mean, mile long queues, fights and the like over teddy bears? Why would they anticipate that when they already do a pay your child’s age promotion year round anyway?

Total queuing time: 1 hour 20 mins
For: 1 year old dd
Why: because i thought why not 😂

All very British with regards to Queues. It weas single file, no pushing and children all happy from what I witnessed. No riots, arguments or meltdowns. All ready have a box full of clothes from ds teddy. So only cost £1.
