There are some mums at school, one in particular that constantly feeds their kids sweets. I’m talking a two pack of donuts on pick up. Dd was going round for tea, so came up with ruse of 'don’t give her sweets, drives her crazy'. It doesn’t, have just don’t agree with it and don’t want to look hugely judgmental although I clearly am.
I’m thinking this is a good idea, have extended it to both children and reason not to buy sweets at the school gates (pta think it’s fine to stuff with adult proportions of junk too, in the name of fundraising).
Wish I didn’t have to go to such extremes though. Btw a few penny sweets I’m fine with, it’s just sweets bigger than their heads for primary school kids I find objectionable - a sense of proportion, you know?
I’m open for good ideas to be more truthful about my reasons, Like I said it’s hard to say I don’t want this for my kids without implying others are making wrong choices.
