Hi, I have a 3 week old baby girl, who has got nappy rash, we have been changing her nappy as soon as she does a poo etc and been putting on cream the health visitor said, this has actually made it worse, could the nappies be causing the issue, and would the gp give anything to get rid of it? It's so sore

My almost two week old has it quite badly too and I asked the midwife to look at it yesterday, essentially make sure you're only using cotton wool with tepid water (no baby wipes- when Water Wipes), a barrier cream and let your baby "air dry" where possible!

Sorry- not I meant "not even Water Wipes"!! Lol so tired!!

The issue is I can't let her air dry as she doesn't like being naked/ without a nappy on as she screams the house down! I have tried 3 different creams

How is naked is she is being held?

Have you tried metanium? The thick yellow cream, it's by far the best. Take her nappy off wash her bottom, then dry very well (this bit v important) put a very very thin layer on then a layer of Vaseline.
