Car seats

Ok I have a dilemma. I just moved to the USA and am unable to drive for a couple of months. DH's new job will be very demanding and I really need to be able to get out and about with my 1yo otherwise I'll go nuts.

So problem is, using a car seat in taxis/Uber's. I have a travel system type thing meaning I can carry the car seat with me when I get out (attaches to pushchair) but he's getting too big for that type of car seat.

Anyone know of another way I can take a safe car seat around with me? Or a safe portable car seat? I've seen some on amazon but I don't think they pass any safety tests.

Is this the kind of thing you were thinking of?

There's a pushchair/car seat hybrid called Doona that might suit! Not sure of the age range but worth a look. Not cheap at £280 but it sounds like exactly what you need!

Thanks for that!!

Just looked and it says up to 13kg and he's about 9.2 now so would last a little while
