How to know when you’re ready to be a parent?

Myself and my partner have always been very open about what to do if we accidentally conceived and until recently we knew we would not want to keep the baby due to it not being fair on the child. For reference, I am 19 and my partner is 22. Soon, we will be moving into our own place and both be on a stable income. We have both decided that we would absolutely love a baby between us, however we don’t know if we are just being naive and silly. Young parents, how did you know that you were ready?

You don't, you just decide. If you're in a good relationship, want kids and can afford it you just make the choice to try. You've certainly got time if you decide to wait. Maybe decide if you want to save money first? Have you been together a while?
