Cocoon or Bassinet? (Bugaboo Bee)

Hi all,
first post here :)

I am expecting my first this September.
I have just bought a bugaboo bee and I have a doubt about buying the cocoon or the bassinet for the first three months. My doubt is based on the fact that a baby should not stay more than 2 hours laying on a place that is not flat. We all know that London is big and sometimes one stays out more than 2 hours.
The cocoon does not look totally flat to me. Do you have any experience with that?
The bassinet looks the safest option.
on the other side, the cocoon is easier to bring on a flight (I will take a few). I am not sure the bassinet can be brought in a plane.

Do you have any suggestion?

Cocoon! Much easier for taking baby in and out, and the zippy sides make changing easy too. Loved our cocoon.

Plus, if you have a refluxy baby you can sit them up a bit in the cocoon, whereas the bassinet is limited.
We also used the cocoon as a footmuff for ages once DS was sitting up.

I thought the Cocoon was brilliant, and I’m sure it was flat once it was in. Can’t say I noticed it not being, and I’ve had two children go through our Bee.

Cocoon here too

Cocoon here! Much cheaper, you can fold the pram and clip a car seat with it attached which is major benefit. Didnt know about the 2 hr thing but (a) pretty sure it is flat and (b) very rare not to take baby out within a 2 hr period at that age anyway, especially if bf.

I have both and I think it depends on the season you will use it most in.

The cocoon is much better in cold weather as it will keep them v warm - it does not, contrary to what Bugaboo say, keep your baby cool.

The bassinet however is great for summer and winter. Having used both I preferred the bassinet and only swapped to the cocoon as he was far too nosey to stay in the bassinet longer than three months.

If you have a long baby you'll get more use from the bassinet. Although the Bee is a smallish pram, the bassinet is v. generous in length and significantly longer than the one by Uppababy for example.

100% cocoon. It is flat as you place a newborn higher so they are actually led on the back bit and don't get near the seat section. The cocoon also levels out and makes it flat.

My baby loves it. I love it. and it's easier to transport and put together. Keeps them warm in winter and this summer my baby has been cool as I took the top off and led him on a muslin. Wouldn't go for the bassinet now. Hope that helps :)
