Pants VS boxers

My DS is 5 and still wears pants (briefs) with paw patrol, spiderman ect on. I was talking to some mums at DSs school and they had mixed responses to what there boys wear. Should DS be wearing boxers by now? My DH said he was about 8 before he wore boxers so I'm unsure

Mine wore trunks from starting school. Not baggy boxers - too much bunching, but snug fitting shorts.

My ds wore pants until he asked for boxers at about 9/10 and then we got him some of the tighter fitting ones (M&S) as they were more comfortable. He still wears the same style now at 12.

However I remember a mum being outraged at them having to wear swimming briefs for school swimming - they were so revealing apparently - and they should have been allowed to wear swimming shorts instead. Lots of the other mums agreed with her . The boys were only about 7 at the time!

Just let your lad wear whatever he's happy with.

My son wears trunks too. Mainly because that’s what my husband wears.

I love the idea of boys clothes being too revealing. Welcome to being a girl!!!

Whatever he is comfy in.

Ds went to trunks at about 4 because he wasn’t comfy in briefs.

Please be careful about discussing your kids underwear, you have no idea who really started this thread

What's wrong with briefs?

My youngest is 8 and likes briefs. He doesn’t like the boxers and they stress him out. My eldest wore tight boxers (don’t know what they’re called ) from about 9 or 10 mainly becuase he found them more confortable

If he is happy as he is then all is good in the world
