If it's helpful to anyone as student finance told me a lot of existing students had problems. I had to stop my studies as over the last two years since the transfer SFE didn't recognise my CRN number and I didn't pass security check by phone as they had no info for me as I'd done my finance through the OU. I've tried my passcodes today and they work now and I have been able to change my contact and passwords.
