POST TO MY DAUGHTER

I was divorced from my daughters mother & the only contact I have with my 9 year old daughter is through cards & presents, and books I send her. Is it her mothers legal right to open a letter addressed to my daughter before my daughter receives it?

I'm not sure how this applies to a minor but my understanding is that it's illegal to open someone else's post "with malicious intent". Which is a bit arguable and hard to prove. I'd guess with a minor there's a good argument for vetting what comes through the post for them.

I know nothing about your situation, so apologies if this isn't helpful advice, but I would think the courts we're your best bet for securing contact. Is that something you've already tried?

I’m sure sh has that right while your daughter is so young. Why can’t you see her face to face? That sounds very sad.
