Baby pooing a lot more after eating prunes yesterday

I've looked all over for an answer to this.
I'm EBF my 4 month old baby and have bad constipation and fissures, my doctor told me to eat prunes and drink prune juice as I can't use lactose as my baby is dairy and lactose intolerant.
So I ate 2 prunes and had a bit of prune juice yesterday, my baby who usually poos once a day has poo'd 5 times already today and I'm worried about her Sad
Has anyone else experienced this?xx

Prunes are great for helping out when baby is constipated when weaned, so maybe it's acted similarly through your milk? Is it diarrhoea or normal poops? Our little boy varied wildly in the number, but as long as she isn't dehydrated it may be worth keeping an eye on her?

This article has a little bit about dried fruits and may apply to juice too www.babygaga.com/foods-you-didnt-know-could-make-your-breastfed-baby-gassy/

Yes, it does make sense. My MIL was told to eat them and grapes (oddly) when my dh was very constipated as a baby.

Thank you for responding. I really hope that's all it is she's pooped 7/8 times now since 10am and I'm worried about her.
I know the doctors are generally worried about dehydration, but her soft spot seems fine, when crying she has tears and she's still peeing a normal amount so I don't think I need to worry about that.
Although there is a lot of mucus and a bit of what I think might be blood in her poo (for a couple of weeks under observation by doctor until Pediatrics appointment on Friday.
I'm hoping it's the prunes and that she hasn't caught some infection Sad x

Think I can absolutely say it's the prunes & juice that caused the issues.
Down from 7 times in one day to two times the following day to only once so far today. Yay xx
