Toddler growing up too quickly

DD is 2.5, but recently she’s started saying things that I’d expect from a much older child. Tonight’s example, when putting her to bed, I tried to cuddle her and she said ‘get off, I too big for cwtches’. So I just sat next to her and said ‘you’ll never be too big for a cwtch from mammy’. Her response? ‘I don’t need you Mammy, I a big girl’. It completely crushed me 😢

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

I always tell my girls, ‘I don’t care how old you are, you will always be mummy’s babies’
When my 3 year old tries to tell me she is too big, I make a joke out of it and hold her like a baby and she laughs. Xx
