Are Baby headphones a thing?

Hi

I'm about to travel to America with my 6 month DD. It's a 10hr flight and I'm getting some things ready to take with us that will keep her relaxed and calm.

When she gets a bit cranky, we play music (Rockabye Baby) which instantly calms her right down. So I'm just wondering if baby headphones are a thing?

We took her to Portugal in April and she was amazing, but that was only a 3hr flight and she's a different baby now! Lol!

I've had a look online but can't find any for babies, only toddlers.

Anyone seen any about?

(Also I'm looking for something under £30)

My 13 month old has toddler headphones for the plane and will wear them for 20 mins-ish at a time. They only just stay on her head though, no way would they work for a younger baby. I have seen headphones that look like a soft stretchy headband... will try to see if I can find a link.

There are children's headphones that are safer than standard ones and block some of the noise but I don't think a baby would put up with them.

I got my toddler headphone for tablet on the plane. She will walk around with the headphones but not use them with the tablet.

So I don’t think these will be the ones for you since they’re on US amazon but you get the idea. If you manage to find similar and they’re too big you might be able to do some DIY Velcro job to reduce the size of the band:
www.amazon.com/FIRIK-Kids-Headphones-Adjustable-Headband/dp/B01LZ2WK9L/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ref=plSrch&keywords=firik+kids+headphones&dpPl=1&dpID=51BO5srpF0L&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8&qid=1530279115&sr=8-1

Obviously v low volume for her little ears. Failing that, how is your singing voice?!

Thank you!

I didn't know if I could get head phones that were suitable for babies ears. Obviously I don't want to hurt her hearing or anything.

I might just have to play it through the iPad and the other passengers will just have to listen too! They'll probably prefer that, than listening to her screaming! Lol!

Good for you. My own children wear headphones with their tablets. I hat to ‘endure’ a 4 hour flight last year sat next to a young kids (around 8) who wasn’t using headphones on a flight but was playing a loud game. I found it really rude.
