Hi all,

My LO is hungry allllll day and he is quite a big baby and is putting on weight really really well.

He is 6 weeks old and has a 4oz bottle every 2-2.5hrs, i cant up the ounces as he wont drink anymore than 4.5oz at the most but thats not every bottle.

Just wondered if anyone had used hungry baby milk and their opinions? Also if it made their baby constipated??

Thanks in advance xx

It's still very normal for babies to feed every 2-2.5 hours at that age. Little and often. I'd keep doing what you're doing as it sounds just fine. But no, I wouldn't bother with hungry baby milk. He needs the calories and the fluids, especially in this heat.

I would stick to the normal formula, we tried the hungry milk but it gave both of ours really bad colic. Hope this helps x www.theunstoppablemama.online

Hungry baby milk is no more calories just filled with stuff that makes it sit in their stomach even longer so it's even harder to digest

From memory, 6 weeks is a big growth spurt as well

He sounds perfectly normal. Don't give hungry baby milk - it's got fillers in it which make it harder to digest and thus make it sit in the stomach for longer, I.e. they're basically garbage. Every 2-2.5 hours is a perfectly normal timeframe for a 6 week old to feed.

Make sure you're doing paced bottle feeding but otherwise just let him decide how much milk he needs.

My DD did this at that age too. It’s completely normal as their stomachs are tiny.

Completely normal keeping feeding responsively I like a drink/snack more often than every couple of hours and I’m an adult so more than reasonable for a tiny tiny baby.

Gave my son the worst constipation.

Thanks everyone. But he's fed this often from being born so i dint think its a growth spurt, he just seems to be hungry all the time and when he wants a bottle theres no settling him at all xx
