My lb is 4m and is ff. In Scotland were in the 30s and its really really hot. My lb sweats a lot on a normal day never mind this heat and I was told by my HV I could give him some cooled boiled water, but how much in one day? My HV isn't working today and the office closes at 4pm and I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone else. I bought some hipp organic baby juice for 4m+ too but again have no idea how much I can give him on days like this...

As a one off it’s fine I think. Are you breastfeeding or bottle?

Yes you can, let him take the lead he will probably just spit most out you could pop a teething ring. In the freezer and let him hold/suck this to keep cool x

18 years ago I gave mine as much as she wanted. Cooled, boiled, in a bottle.

Yes.

Yes to cool boiled water on a hot day but their kidneys are still quite immature at that age and it can dilute the nutrients in their milk so you need to be careful not to give too much. My doctor said around 2oz per day, definitely no more than 4oz until they’re 6 months and weaning but perhaps check with your health visitor tomorrow for their official take. And don’t give the juice without seeing if he’ll take plain water first, there’s no need for it.
