What age is your dd NP?

My ds is 2 & 5months and is on day 5 of potty training.

I've just followed a trail of wee the whole way down the hallway

Dogsby · 24/05/2007 18:00

tbh i htought i had rid myslef of thepotty training mantle
wonder if they cover htat in HTT

nailpolish · 24/05/2007 18:00

ok

she went straight to toilet

has been dry since day one which has been great

but

poo

she will say "oh i need a wee wee" like every 2 minutes and i know its not a wee its a poo she needs, cos of the frequency

but she sits on the loo and wont push or squeeze, becuase nothing comes out immediatly she says she finished. she waits til it is touching cloth and then of course poo stain is on pants and she gets upset

how can i

a. convicne ehr to sit for longer periods on loo (tried books etc no joy)

b. stop her being afraid (she clearly IS afraid)

np, my DS1 couldn't do a poo on teh potty or toilet for ages.... he knew one was coming, could tell me one was coming.... but insisted that he have a nappy on, then he'd go squat and perform...

What's with that?

Be interested to find out why!

Sorry I know that doesn;t help AT ALL!!!

Dogsby · 24/05/2007 18:04

My ds poo'ed his pants yesterday, about 5 seconds after getting off the toilet. He was upset.

Today he slept an hour in pants at the c/minder and was dry when he got up! His nappy was dry this morning too, but I'm too big a coward to put him in bed at night with no nappy on

nailpolish · 24/05/2007 18:10

have to go! oops sorry ill read it later

dh is home and etc etc etc

later dude x

I'm sure you can still get them, I bought these waterproof mats that you can put in the bed that feel nice and 'cottony' and they're machine washable. Saves changing the whole bed in the middle of night.
