New mum friend is broke......

I've never posted here before so not sure if this is the right forum but I'm hoping for some guidance from mums.
My best friend became a mum at the end of last year, her partner is currently unemployed and without wishing to sound harsh or judgemental, he is pretty useless.
She is really broke and I've just lent her some money to tide her over until pay day. I'm more than happy to do this any time but I know she'll never ask for much.

I want to buy some useful, practical things for day to day life with a 9 month old but I'm not a mum so I'd love to know if there's anything people would suggest other than nappies, wipes, formula etc.

Any suggestions a would be gratefully received Smile

a boots voucher might be an idea
are you sure she wants a gift?

Vouchers are a good idea, she can get what she needs then. Maybe Sainsbury’s? Could get food, baby clothes, nappies etc as and when she needs them.

You’re a lovely friend btw! Flowers

Ask her - you know things are tight, you have a bit to spare, does she need food/clothes/x/y?

A shopping voucher so she can get some food in? Really nice of you btw, she's lucky to have a friend like you!
