Baby jogger city mini or city mini gt??

Can anyone explain what the main differences are?

We are at getting one or the other for holidays/when DS gets older as a daily pram/ longer walks. We do a lot of walking outdoors with the dog but so far we are mainly using a carrier (may change when DS gets heavy in a year or two). I cant seem to understand the difference other than cost and whetber the extra cost is worth it for us.

Any wise mumsnetters advise will be much appreciated

100% get the gt. It's MUCH easier to push.

The GT, air tyres are a blessing when you’ve a toddler as easier to push.

GT definitely 👍🏻 Great pushchair x

Does anyone/has anyone used it without the carry cot with a 3 month old?

Argh I'm currently having this dilemma. Already have a city mini gt which is about 4 years old and has been hammered. Fabulous pushchair. Was hoping to use it for DC2 but it won't last. Want another but trying to convince me that the city mini will be sufficient...

Used the GT from 4 months with DC1 once they'd outgrown the bassinet, was absolutely fine. Would have no qualms about using it for a 3 month old

The worsr thing with the gt is it seems impossible to find one second hand!!

We have a city mini GT. I love it.

The only downsides are that the tread in the wheels picks up mud and dog poo and nearly every walk I go on I have to hose them before I can take it back into the house, wouldn't be so much of an issue with the flat wheels on the non GT version. I think it's about 1kg heavier too.

DS is 3 months and I think he'll be much cooler out of a carrycot in this weather so he's going in it from tomorrow.
