Bl**dy shoes!

I seem to be buying new shoes for my 4 year old every 3 months - I end up buying about 3 pairs of different styles and fabrics for different weathers and if I'm not replacing because they've gone up a size it's because the heels have worn badly - is this normal?!

Totally normal in my opinion - DS2 has gone from a size 10 when he turned 4 to a size 1 on his 5th birthday. I just buy used on eBay now or cheap and cheerful from supermarkets. My kids have school shoes, sandals, wellies, school trainers, school plimsolls, and weekend trainers - feels never ending replacing them all as they are grown out.

Even more frustrating is I have two boys with the same size feet - you'd think they could share, but they are both usually wearing the same type of shoe at the same time eg. Both wearing school shoes or both wearing sandals. So we don't even get to hand them down and get another wear out of them 😞

Ah just saw the thing about the heels wearing badly - that happens worse with some shoes but 3 months sounds very quick! We have had luck with shoes from H&M, Sainsbury's, Birkenstock sandals, Dunlop wellies. Next school shoes still fit DS1 but heels worn out over the last 8 months (not too bad given they have been worn daily).
