Never. She is dairy intolerant. We moved to soya at 11 1/2 months under advice from the dietician.

Around 11 months for both DDs. They didn’t drink much for a good few months and both still had breast milk as their main drink.

6 months for my baby.

He refused to take breast or formula milk from a bottle so we tried normal cow's milk just to see if he'd take it as we were desperate to get extra nourishment into him and he drank it no problem at all. At 8.5 months he now gets 2-5 ounces most days depending on how much he wants to drink, although sometimes still has phases where he refuses the bottle completely. He still completely refuses breast or formula milk from the bottle so we're sticking with cow's milk.

My wee guy won't have formula or expressed even in his porridge but will guzzle it down with cows milk 😂 think he'll be the same wanting cow milk in a cup rather than anything else

I'm having this question too! DS is 1yr and drinks water. Eats plenty of dairy in porridge and cheese. Still bf on occasion and has a bottle of follow on before bed.

I think we'll transition out the follow on for cows by 18 months. Reluctant to give him anything other than water during the day because he gets on so well with it.

There is no need for a child to drink milk as long as they are getting 350mg if dairy a day.

My DD loves milk now we have found good non dairy alternatives but there were times when she got all her calcium from others sources.

We started the transition around 10/11 months by swapping out one bottle of formula for a cup of milk. At 11.5 months ish we did the morning bottle and by 12 months the bedtime one

My aim wasn’t to replace formula with the same volume of cows milk, but to wean into milk as a drink in a cup rather than formula as a food in a bottle.
