Would I be foolish to use JUST bamboo nappies??

Have just started using some Wambamboos/Bambineos on DS (10wks) and love how soft and slim they are, so much so that I'm thinking of selling all of DD's nappy stash to fund more WBBs.

But would I be mad to use just bamboo nappies as they take so long to dry? The only other nappies I really like are Ella's house hemp (again because slim, but also slow drying) or Fuzzis (but never very reliable with DD so reluctant to use again)

Like the look of the Quick Flip Lite with bamboo booster (at least the nappy should dry fairly quickly? Waiting for Flame's trial )

Any other nice SLIM nappies which are quicker drying to supplement my new collection?

The p'tit dessous toudou is nice and slim - velour outer with microfibre soaker and cut similar to swaddlebees. Kittykins has them. HTH

nappyzone · 23/05/2007 12:06

Well you could always try some different pockets - tiny heinys looked cutetastic on my boy from about 2 months. I think bambineos are great and if you have found one your happy with thats great to, variety is the spice of life though! I would keep the fuzzis as as your baby changes shape you may just fine they become a perfect fit.

Yes - the quick flip lites dry reeeeeeeeally quickly, and even my mum said how small it looked on - a great daytime nappy.

MEOs are a reliable slim, but a bit boring, nappy, as are Nature Babies Diddy and Micro Diddy diapers.

Flame · 23/05/2007 14:59

2 hours, and the outer of the QFL is dry, so if you were to buy a few more boosters than outers, it is great

amazonianwoman · 23/05/2007 16:00

Thanks all, any of you going to stock Quick Flip lites??!!

Did ask about original quick flips but not heard back yet, think flame may be though

Flame · 23/05/2007 20:51

Yup, normal quick flips should be in soon, and quick flip lites will be following

amazonianwoman · 24/05/2007 21:04

Excellent

Snugglebum - just realised you are in Manchester. Moi aussi So I'm not the only one having to suffer the Manc rain when trying to dry nappies outside!

I use all bamboos, but only part time, I have no issues with their drying at all, they line dry in a day around here.

Piffle · 24/05/2007 21:10

actually ds is too big for his size 1 quick flips - I've got two if anyone wants to buy to sample/try them? only used a couple of times due to my total slackness one navy cotton and one cream bamboo and oen very ncie light blue quick flip wrap.

snugglebumnappies · 24/05/2007 22:25

amazonian, yes the wather in Manchester can be grim for nappy drying

If you know of anyone wanting nappy demos in manchester, point them in my direction thanks!

amazonianwoman · 24/05/2007 22:32

Ooo, yes. What sort of demos do you do? One on one, or groups only?

snugglebumnappies · 24/05/2007 22:40

amazonian, can do either but have a 10 week old DS2 to tag along at the moment

amazonianwoman · 24/05/2007 22:51

I admire you , I have 10wk old DS too who is definitely not predictable enough to tag along anywhere at the moment! Does he model your collection?

Flame · 24/05/2007 23:24

lol, disgraceful sellin nappies

snugglebumnappies · 25/05/2007 07:48

DS2 is number three so he has to tag along everywhere, to DS1's karate, trampolining and swimming lessons, DD's tumble totsand play groups and now my work, bless him, I do have a fantastic range of slings for him though Both DD and DS2 model my nappies, keep meaning to get some lovely pics for on the website and any ads. DS1 is a bit too old (11) to be any use as a nappy model anymore

I know Flame, it shouldn't be allowed

amazonianwoman · 25/05/2007 12:07

Ooo, digressing now, talk me through the slings you are using I have 2 Gypsy Mama bali baby breeze ones (wraparounds), but can't wait til he can fit in the Ergo because it's just sooo easy

Getting back to the point, will order some nappies from both of you as soon as I get next child benefit payment

Flame - any idea on timescale for Quick Flip Lites - I'm dying to try them!

OK sorry for hijacking the thread At the moment I have DS2 in a gorgeous ring sling made by Kirsty at www.frontbackandsides.com I also have a lovely Mei Tai made by her aswell, really soft cord with a gorgeous fabric panel. I have just got an ellaroo wrap and am practicing with that and am waiting for a new ring sling from Kirsty (shhh don't tell DH ). I am thinking that my next purchase should be an organic ellaroo wrap in melon (has lovely little people dancing on a yellow background) but I am going to hve to sell a few bits and pieces first as they are £75 Haven't seen the Gypsy mama ones, gonna google them now

LilRedWG · 25/05/2007 15:07

I just use Wambamboos on DD during the day and dispicables at night.

Flame · 25/05/2007 19:59

I'll have a chat with her... gimme 24hrs to get an eta for you.

MerlinsBeard · 25/05/2007 20:04

( mini hijack - sorry! Flame - are you Flamesparrow? or someone else who bought Flame at auction?)

Flame · 25/05/2007 20:47

Tis meeeeeeeeeeeeee

amazonianwoman · 25/05/2007 21:35

LOVE the look of those Mei Tais Snuggle - are they OK with younger babies?

www.gypsymama.com/shop/breeze.htm - great for warmer weather Although I've heard the Ellaroo ones are similarly lightweight
