I am starting a full time access course in September and I will have a 3 month old by then. I am currently on a very low income CTC only (long story). Can anyone tell me please how to go about sorting out financial help for childcare please?

Thanks

LEA funding can be very hard.

The college - does it have a learner support fund?

There is also something called Adult Learning Grant, if this is your first a-level equivalant level of qualification. that can be up to £30 p/w.

it is unlikely you will get anyone to pay 100% of your childcare bill

Good Luck

Thanks for the replys. Have just had a chat with my local childcare information place and they have contacted the student services for me. They were avised that I should be able to get help of £26 a day towards childcare from the college fund but are still working out their budget for the year and this won't be complete until the end of June.

Thanks again
