What is your child's favourite meal?

I want my ds to grow up like I did with fave family meals and I also remember my favourite days at school being influenced by what was for lunch!
At the moment he is 5 and likes pasta brocolli, normal stuff like fish fingers chicken burgers, corn on the cob cucumber etc and we do family meals of spag Bol, prawn stir fry, Sunday dinner , jacket spud, shepherds pie and squash and mash

So what is your kids fave meal and also if you invite others over for play dates what do you do?

Need some inspiration!

Thanks

Ds 19 months loves, spag bol, cottage pie (half sweet potato half potato mash), chicken korma (Tesco dairy-free recipe) and fish and chips

Ds1 who is 4.5 loves my chicken curry and spag bol. He also looks forward pizza night on a friday and will eat carrots or sausages like they are going out of broccoli. He generally eats everything but hates cucumber and isn't the biggest fan of mashed potato.

Ds2 who is almost 1 will eat literally anything. I hope it stays this way. I'd say favourites at the minute for him are sweet and sour chicken, any form of pasta and cucumber. Oh and the occasional choccy button goes down well too. Wink

Kedgeree. I've mentioned it on here dozens of times but it's just such a winner in terms of speed, ease, and how happily everyone wolfs it down, including 9mo

DS1 loves tuna pasta bake, so I make a large one and freeze portions for an easy dinner.
DS2’s favourite is chicken egg fried rice. I use leftover roast chicken, and a recipe I found on Pinterest. It’s very quick and easy, and it’s the one dish I can put as much veg in as I like and he doesn’t complain!

Current family fave is sticky beef burritos but they also like chicken fajitas, toad in the hole and Jambalaya. There are others but it’s perhaps a little early for my poor brain Smile

Play dates are always pizza. I’ve learned long ago not to try and offer anything else because they’re always be something wrong with it.
