How long does Baby Bjorn bouncer last?

I bought DS a Bababing bouncer labelled as suitable up to 6 months, at which point he'd move into a high chair. Except it's tiny and at 4 months DS is too long for it. So he has no chair and still can't sit yet!

Is it worth buying a Baby Bjorn bouncer at this point? I've been told they're bigger so last longer. Or will DS not get much use out of it now he's so close to being able to sit? Should I just save my money and stick him on his playmat for a few weeks until he's big enough for a high chair?

My DD did not want to be in her baby Bjorn bouncer my then she just wanted to be on the move. She is very tall and there is no way it would last until 2! It went in the loft well before she was 1.

Dd liked the mama and papa snug chair

We were given an unknown brand bouncer that looked very uncomfortable to my eyes. We bought a new babybjorn at 3 months and I loved it - lo looked so comfy and I used to sing and play with him in it all the time and he'd occasionally snooze in it.

We got to 4 or 5 months when we spent more time on mat doing lots of tummy time and trying to help him roll, sit and crawl. When he could do all that he didn't want to be locked in his bouncer anymore sadly. I'm hoping when he's older he'll want to use it as a chair, but at the moment it is very much unloved in a corner.

I'd recommend it as it's lovely to play in before lo has enough head control, but get secondhand.

My friend's ds was out of his by 6 months, we used this instead, Tinylove I loved it because you could lie it down when they fall asleep. You can go on using it as a chair once they can climb in and out themselves.
