How to deal with blushing + baby

And when I mean blushing, I mean going bright red at the drop of a hat. If somebody speaks to me unexpectedly I go red. If I bump into somebody I know in the street I go red. Sometimes I go red mid conversation. You get the picture. I’m very pregnant at the mo. Can’t imagine how I’ll deal with screaming baby in Sainsbury’s, or a poonami at the docs etc etc. Please tell me I’m not going to be a constant, bright red, mess? Any tips from shy mums? Any tips on how not to go red!?

The baby will take up so much of your attention and focus that you’ll forget to blush. Take it from one who knows

Thank you, that’s good to hear! So did you find having a baby helped with this kind of thing? Maybe this is the therapy I need!

Before I became a mum, I was so unsure of myself. Never spoke out, was quiet around new people, blushed a lot!
I now have 3 kids! A Poonami in the most inconvenient place is every day life, I now laugh at my misfortune. Baby screaming the place down because I dared to wipe her face is part of the course, I now tell her 'I am so sorry that I am such a rubbish mummy trying to keep you clean in public'
People now laugh, I don't blush.
I find finding the funny side makes life easier!
The only time I blushed was when I was teaching my DD colours. On the bus, red car, blue car, yellow flower etc.
A poor lady got on the bus, who quite frankly looked like she lost a fight with her foundation. My DD, in the loudest voice on the quietest bus pointed at this lady and said 'look mummy, orange lady'
I not only blushed, I got off the bus so incredibly fast.
Don't worry, find the humour and find the funny side of your child pooping in the drs! Its the only way I survived!

I've just read my post. I'm sorry, that was probably no help at all. You will be fine, I promise!

No, it’s a big help & so comforting to hear! I often find myself wondering how I’ll cope, but this gives me faith that I’ll be OK...I think!

“Orange lady” is hilarious by the way! Definitely would have been blush central for me too though!!

Orange lady was probably the most horrifying moment ever. I look back and laugh now though.
