6 month naps

This is my first post- think I posted in the wrong thread before. So my question is about 6 month old naps. My LO has taken 30 min naps up until this week when he out of the blue started napping for 1 hour plus for at least one of his 3 naps. But now he has gone back to 30 min naps and I haven’t changed anything I am doing, wake times etc. Is there a 6 month growth spurt that he might have gone through, or maybe he is still developmentally working towards longer naps? Your experiences welcome. Thanks

Yes there is a growth spurt at 6 months but they do just change things for no reason. Once you think you’ve got them sussed they like to make it clear you haven’t Smile

Welcome to MN too Thanks

around 6 months my baby just dropped her 4:30 nap out of the blue ....so there was some changes to her sleep pattern that have continued.

as always it's a guessing game! it was around 6 months that i just gave up recording all the timings of naps/food i was giving her as i was driving myself mad trying to find patterns for why things 'worked' one day and didnt the next....

fingers crossed your baby will extend from 30 mins as i that's a tough one to manage xx
