3am Cluster feeds HELP!

My newborn has spent the last week cluster feeding from 3am until around 7am when DC1 wakes up for school!

DH goes back to work next week and not sure how I'm going to cope being up all night followed by the school run. The baby also will not lie in her crib at all in the evenings so we are having to take it in turns to hold her unless she is feeding then it is me as she is BF.

Everything I've read on cluster feeding refers to it happening in the afternoon/late evening so much of the advice does not apply to me. I can not go on like this as Im getting as little as 1 hour of sleep each night. Any advice?

It will pass fairly quickly

You will cope

Do school run and then back home for sleep with baby

I have no other advice. sorry

My ds did this for the first ten days or so, and then calmed down a bit after that. It will pass I promise. Can your dh adjust his hours to do the school run on his way to work for a few days?

Ive managed to get help with school runs for the next week so I guess I'll just have to adjust my sleeping patterns now and sleep when DC is at school.

All totally normal, if not exhausting for you. If she won’t go in her crib, have you tried putting a tshirt that DH has worn in? Some people use it as the sheet. Apparently the smell is more comforting. White noise and swaddling might help too.
