Hi I'm having a joint party for my boys in reception and yr 1. Trouble is approx 60 (plus siblings )party bags is potentially quite expensive having hired a massive soft play for both. Any suggestions on something that is very cheap and easy as two presents & cakes etc is very expensive. Thanks

At that age, I used to get a job lot of books from The Book People and they could choose one along with e.g. a packet of Buttons and a slice of birthday cake. So much easier than faffing with bags and parents were grateful.

Couple of glow sticks (normally a pound or so for 20)
Fun size chocolate/packet of Hariono
Balloon
Have a look in the pound shop for some multipacks of pencils, if you can get say 10 for £1 then not horrendously expensive
Piece of cake/fairy cake

And I think that’s plenty!

Or go wild and don’t have any, and just have the glow sticks at the party Wink

E.g. here are 50 books for £27. (I know that's not the right age range)

Popcorn treasure bags... basically popcorn in a bag with a few sweets mixed in...

Give them a balloon and some cake each, they'll be happy

Christmas cracker each (no idea where you’d get 60 in June though!)

eBay do Lego minfigures that are superhero’s. They aren’t real Lego but you can’t tell. Work out about 60p each but look like you’ve spent more and are not tat and will go with the Lego most kids probably already have.

I do them for DS2 5th party and they were very well received.
You can get other sets too, Disney princesses, Wonder Woman/catwoman etc too for the girls

Poundland sometimes do bucket and spade sets. They also do bubble swords 2 for £1. One of those, cake, packet of sweets should be plenty.

Thanks some great ideas

I'd do bubble wands. You can normally get them for around 50p.
