Hi this might be a silly question, but in a few weeks we have a family anniversary party and my baby will be 7 weeks old at the time, it will obviously be loud and there will be lots of people there at the venue, will my baby be okay or should I leave it and stay at home with him, I don’t want him to be overwhelmed or get a headache/sore ears (if that’s possible) I’m such a worrier! Any advice appreciated Smile

Depends on the party.

Disco/drinking/pub I wouldn't take a baby.

Relatives house for a few drinks then possibly, but either way I'd leave early.
Where will your baby be if sleeping?

@speakout some babies love the hustle and bustle of a pub and the music of a disco. The baby will be fine sleeping in a pram and if they are unsettled I imagine there will be lots of excited relatives willing to push the pram ....no need to leave early ( unless you're knackered) but babies that young have no concept of time and wont care if they're asleep at home or at the party.

It was so much easier going to the pub or the parties when DS was tiny ...he couldn't run off!

I must be old fashioned.

But then a baby is the perfect excuse to avoid parties in my book.

I wasn't going to let the fact I had DS mean I missed a party! I've been taking DS to pubs since he was 3 weeks old. He's absolutely fine...plus I kept my sanity!

I took DS to a 40th in a sling when he was 6 weeks old. O dint stand next to the speakers, he was fine.
