hi i've been looking at reusabl nappies to get for dd2. she is 10 months (was a premmie born 11 weeks early). she weighs about 17lb. i haven't got a clue about the nappies.

we've always bought pampers but i'm starting to think about how much waste we are creating. also don't like the crystals that occasionally appear on her bum.

also dd1 has special needs and is still in nappies and will probably be for at least another year and was maybe thinking whether i should try her with them but really not sure about this. she does go from being very constipated to very loose and is in and out of hospital a lot.

could somebody please give me some advice about all of this. thankyou in advance.

When I started using reusables (nearly four years ago) I used thenappylady website as they have a questionnaire and advisors to help you.
My favourite is the motherease one size nappy, which I use with a fleece liner.
IME resuable nappies contain loose stools much better than disposbles.

Hello there are different types of nappies - if you google my site i have a short explanation on the home page - (nappyzone) that can clear things up a toot. You can then contact me via it for tailor made info if you require. It is alot to get your head around! This site is great fro starting out though as there are loads of experts about and were all only to happy to help the cause of cloth! Basically were all addicts!

I agree that reusables are often much better for poo explosions. There are a few of us offering advice services, you can email me bumfluffnappies at gmail dot com if you'd like.

How big is your DD1? If she is a small 3yr old then it could be possible for you to use bambineos which would allow you to use the same nappy on both children (obv not at the same time ) and make life a lot simpler. If she is bigger then I know a few WAHMs that are happy to make nappies for SN children

hi just went on the bumfluff website. ordered some bambineo nappies with poppers, some motherease airflow, boosters, laundry bag and some liners. hope dp doesn't get to mad when he finds out what i put on the credit card. just got enough for 3 days worth with dd2. will see how things go and if all is well will probably order some for dd1.

thanks fot the advice, the websites were more helpful than the catologues.
