What am I doing wrong? (Caboo close sling)

I’ve got a Caboo close carrier for my newborn. I think I’m following the instructions correctly and I’ve watched lots of YouTube videos. So it starts off being comfortable with the baby in kissable distance, however as time goes on she slips down and so it becomes really uncomfortable on my back. Any tips? I’m tempted to buy a more structured carrier as it will probably be easier but I really don’t want to spend £££ if I can avoid it. Thank you!!!

Try having the wrap a little tighter to start with - as the fabric's stretchy it can get a little looser as time goes on. Check you've got the straps going through the rings correctly - through both rings then back through the top ring to keep it secure. Once you've got the baby in position I found it was helpful to knot the long side straps underneath baby's bottom to keep it from sagging down. This video's quite good on demonstrating the knack of keeping it in place:

Go on your local FB selling site and pick up a 2nd hand baby Bjorn for a tenner.

Did you wash it with fabric softener? I got one second hand and a friend advised me not to use fabric softener as it could make it slip

I never got on with the Close Caboo - are you quite petite? I'm 5'2 and have heard other small women struggle with the Caboo.

I ended up with an Ergo which I adore.

Have you threaded through the rings correctly? Or is material really bunched.

It could just be you need to keep an eye on it and retighten every so often until its worn in x

Tie the ends.

Thanks all! That video and checking the threading has made the world of difference. :) so much more-comfortable! Thank you!

Have any of you ever managed to breastfeed in it?

I had the same problem. My back was in agony and he was only weeks old. I sold it on eBay and got a Tula carrier instead. I love it, great support for your back. Still using it now he is 14 months
