Hi! Ds 5 is having his first friend over for a play date where the parent doesn't stay. Usually they stay, we have lunch, they play, we chat. All good. It's a different ball game though when there's no other parent around. Would you lay out activities for them, plan the day? Play with them or just sit somewhere that you can see them and let them get on with it until they ask for something?? Don't know why I'm stressing just don't want the guest child going home saying they had a rubbish time.
