Confused about what to dress baby in at night

So , it's just over 25 degrees in my bedroom. I have my 7 month old in a vest as I have looked online and it says just a vest. He feels cool to touch though ? Should he not feel warm, however I don't want to overdress him as it is muggy. I just need some reassurance, I am a first time mum and worry about him being cold.

My 15 month old is in pjs. No vest or socks but no blanket, he'll come in with me when he wakes. . My almost 3 yr old is in pjs with socks.

I always think the advice is odd. I'm in a nightie and under a thin quilt!! 23 degrees.

A vest sounds perfect in this weather. A very wise woman always told me it was better to under heat than over heat a baby (within the bounds of common sense) as a cold baby will cry but one that is too warm will just pass out.

I used a short sleeved vest with just a sheet if it was very hot, but never left them totally uncovered as I thought they would be too cold. I was a bit paranoid about overheating, but found that usually it was quite easy to tell if they are too hot if they're getting sweaty at the back of the neck.

ThanKs, there is so much conflicting advice :( cause he feels so cool to touch but as someone said, I sure he would let me know if he was too cold , he is 7 months old now and I know SID risk decreases at 6 months but I still get myself in such a panic !

I've got my monitor reading 25 degrees. His window is open a crack behind curtains and he's dressed in a short sleeves romper with no socks. He also sleeps in a sleepyhead with no blankets and that thing keeps him warm. Just take into consideration what else he's sleeping in too.

I've got my 9 month old in a short sleeved vest and a 1 tog sleeping bag. But i have a breeze coming through the bedroom (lovely) so it has finally cooled down a bit. I have sometimes used a cellular blanket rather than a sleeping bag.

Was just thinking this also! DS is 6 months and I've just put him up in a short sleeve/ leg romper with a small sheet over him.
