Do I need to get my son checked every time he hits his head?

DS keeps pulling himself up into standing position and stupidly, I wasn't cautious enough just now and he fell back (on wooden flooring). There was a big thud and big cry from DS.

He's otherwise well. Was a very hurt cry but consoled quickly with BF.

I wasn't sure, can't really find anything from NHS guidelines. Obviously if there was any hurt signs (apart from the sound of his cry), I'd be calling 111.

No, you'll never be out of A and E.
Good signs are bumps, crying immediately. Bad signs are loss of consciousness, indents, spongey feeling skull, or any bleeding from ears, or vomiting more than once after a fall.

oldbirdy Phew! DH is convinced he could even have a bleed to the head without knowing

My toddler bumps her head weekly. If at nursery they apply a cold compress. I just kiss it better and give her a cuddle lol

No - there are clear signs to look for - the first being loss of consciousness.

Even when DD did have concussion when I spoke to 111 we kept an eye out at home. All they do at the hospital is check vital signs etc.
