Not checking DS phone???

My DS is 14 and for his Birthday he got a new phone, I’m pretty relaxed as a parent and I think he has the right to privacy whereas DH thinks we should have access.

Who’s right in this scenario? Xx

It probably depends on the child himself, is he a responsible mature 14 year old who you generally can trust? Then probably leave him to it. If he's prone to telling fibs or sneaky behaviours then I'd have probably check the phone from time to time full access no warning so he can't delete anything!
