Concerns abou 1yo weight

Hoping someone can reassure me while i wait on HV calling me. My daughter has just turned 1 and yesterday I weighed her on the bathroom scales. She was 19lb (can't remember exactly how man oz). I checked her red book and at her last check up at 8.5 months she was 18lb2oz. She was 5lb4oz at birth and had no problems gaining weight, in fact the HV was really happy with her weight gain she had gone from the 0.5th to 90th centile.

I'm now a bit worried that in almost 4 months she's only gained around 1lb. Could it be that she's started crawling since the last appointment so is now more active and losing weight? I suppose as well bathroom scales won't be as accurate as the ones the HV uses but I weighed her twice and got the same both times. I'm also worrying that since this is the first I've weighed her since the last check up that there's a chance she had put on weight but has lost it since I stopped giving formula.

No advice, just wanted to say I was in exactly same situation only y sterday. Took him to hv to be weighed and their scales came back differently and everything was fine.
I have fancy bathroom scales so took them for gospel.
I hope others come along with advice for you.
How does she look? Does she eat ok? I would be more concerned if she didn't seem to growing.

Unless it's same scales, doesn't compare

And my Lb only put on 6 oz over 8 weeks from 7 mo

Maybe she had a growth spurt around the time if the weigh-in and has now evened out. 0.5th to 90th centile means she had made some massive jumps, now she's droped back a little. Plus, as said, scales might be measuring differently. Unless there are any other issues it sounds perfectly fine. X

Thanks everyone for replying.

Seeing that others have experienced similar is really reassuring. Especially since my scales are just cheap ones off Amazon and not always accurate or so I tell myself when they show I've gained weight.

She looks healthy still has her chubby cheeks, I'd say she doesn't look as chubby as she used to but she doesn't look underweight, people used to always comment on her chubby cheeks and say how big she was getting. She eats very well has a big appetite so that's why I was expecting her to have gained a good few pounds.

Between her past weight check the HV did comment a few times on how she had a big leap since last time so I suppose it could be her evening out now.

Spoke to HV on phone she didn't sound concerned says it's probably because she's more active now but she's coming out next week to weigh her to put my mind at rest.

I worry about her a lot I was never like this with my first I thought you were supposed to worry like crazy about your PFB then let your second bring them self upGrin
