2.2 year gap

DD will be 2 and 2 months when new DC arrives. Does anyone have any tips?

I’m assuming we’ll need a double buggy as DD might be a bit young for a buggy board. Any recommendations?

Should DD and in a bed at this age? At the moment she’s in a grow bag in a cot and most of the time ends up in our bed at some point of the evening.

I’m hoping to keep DD in nursery on 2/3 days while I’m on mat leave. Any tips for surviving during the day with the 2 of them?

Anything else I need to consider? Positive stories of siblings with a similar age gap much appreciated too!

I had that exact age gap. Had buggy board not double buggy.
Eldest was in a bed, and went to nursery two days per week.
On the days when I had both of them involved the eldest with helping, getting nappies etc. If both were upset went to eldest just made sure baby was somewhere safe. Lots of cuddles with both of them on the sofa.

I have a 15 month gap. I have a double buggy even now that the eldest is over 2, they like being together in there, it’s a side by side - city jogger. I had a tandem one but the eldest would boot the baby Angry

I had a good sling too, because I always had to be running after the eldest.

I go to baby groups that suit both their ages - anywhere that has an area set up for babies that don’t move yet etc

Both mine are still in cots.

Good luck Smile
