Vomiting toddler

My DD2 started vomiting 2 days ago. Very random, had a short nap she woke up and vomited quite violently. After that she was fine until the following morning. Again woke up and vomited. Then a whole day and night passed and she was fine, a few hours ago I was putting her to bed and the same thing happened again. I'm so confused as to what might be causing this! She is fine in herself, normal playing etc. She's not eating as much as she normally does though. I've checked the NHS website and it says that some kids have a vomiting bug that clears up on its own. But I'm starting to get a bit worried now as it's quite random and so violent when it happens. Anyone else had this??
Any advice would be much appreciated!

Is there any particular trigger? If it's after being asleep is she getting too hot?

Lulu2106 · 14/05/2018 22:55

I can't seem to pinpoint any triggers. It's our normal routine. I've been checking her temp and all fine ranging from 35-36. She had a temp relayed seizure a few weeks ago ( first time it's ever happened). I'm just starting to get worried it's something bigger we are missing...

Temp related seizure (sorry spell check).

I don't want to frighten you but there are some serious causes of this which you should get ruled out. Take her to the GP and request a referral to rule out anything neurological. I hope it's nothing and she's feeling better soon but vomiting on waking plus a seizure (even if seemingly isolated) should be enough of a red flag for your GP.

To be honest I was already worried. Just didn't really believe it was a coincidence that it's all happening within a matter of weeks. I will request an appointment with the GP tomorrow and hopefully get some answers. Thank you so much for your replies.
