Hi...

Sorry to ask but is this poo ok?

That’s a lot of poo for a 5 week old

NappyPatrol · 13/05/2018 19:26

She goes every three days, and there is usually about this amount

Looks like the poonamis my Dd used to gift us. I wouldn’t worry about it unless she seems not herself otherwise.

Yeah she seems good! Just the donner meat colour chunks I’m a bit worried about..

I’m seeing the GP Friday about something else for her, does it look like I should get her seen sooner?

If she seems well I wouldn't be overly worried. You could always call your HV tomorrow. Mine was quite good at putting my mind at rest regarding whether or not a GP trip was needed.

samewitches · 13/05/2018 19:40

Not at all! That's a lovely 5 week old poo! (2 ff babies here, last 6mths old who did these regularly but 1st was constipated due to Gaviscon for SR so I'd have been delighted with that from her!) It'll look like Korma until you start weaning, Weetabix looks exactly the same coming out as going in.

Racecardriver · 13/05/2018 19:42

Seems normal for ff

samewitches · 13/05/2018 19:42

Sorry, I meant to add the grey bits come if they don't go every day ime. Turns a bit more solid.

NappyPatrol · 13/05/2018 19:43

Thank you for your help!

Yeah I think the colour is good, just wasn’t sure about the greyish bits

Ooo @samewitches thank you, that’s what I wasn’t sure about. Brilliant x

OK.. sorry about this but it’s changed!

She’s on anti reflux formula so expected the constipation but worried it’s a bit pale?

Perfectly normal 5 week old FF baby poo.

BikeRunSki · 15/05/2018 15:21

Don’t fret. She is growing and developing all the time. Her stomach bacteria etc will too, and different formulas may come out looking different.

NappyPatrol · 15/05/2018 15:38

Thank you! Google isn’t helping, saying pale could indicate liver problems? She was jaundiced but had treatment so just a bit bothered about this

MrsPatmore · 15/05/2018 16:50

I think if you are worried perhaps take a sample to your GP for testing?

samewitches · 15/05/2018 20:55

Very very normal for reflux meds to cause constipation (as I said in my pp, my dd was on Gaviscon and her poo was hard and difficult to pass). I think you're worrying about this a lot, personally I'd think normal but perhaps visit your HV drop in if you have one or your GP to ease the worry.

Moonkissedlegs · 15/05/2018 20:57

That top one is exactly like both my kids when they were formula fed 5 week olds (including quantity!) I went straight to formula from breast when they were both 3 weeks old, and remember being shocked at the sight and the smell of the change!

Not sure about the grey bits though.

Hello, All!
My son start diarrhoea on 17th of May. 1 day he was with vomiting as well. He looks fine, but until today 9 days already he have diarrhoea yellow colour which I am so worried. The doctors doesn't give me anything. The take a poo sample test, but still they didn't give me anything for him. So my question is is someone pass situation like mine and is there a room for stress now. Please check the photo and I am really sorry that I put the photo just I don't know what to do anymore. He take dehydration sashets, he eat dry staff and still that poo is yellow and he have a rush today.
