My wee one will be 1 and half when we fly this is her first time on an airplane any hints or tips would be greatly appreciated

Probably not what you want to hear, but get her own seat. So much easier when you have a bit more space!

Apart from that, it’s a hard age to travel. Snacks snacks and more snacks. iPad. New little toys that you don’t care if they get lost. Let them run around as much as possible before you board and pray they sleep
